This eccentric three-volume set comprises publications which were separately published at various periods and not always present in the set nor even in the "correct" volume: "A synopsis or general view of the works of Plato", 1759; "Io, a dialogue of Plato, concerning poetry" either 1759, or second edition, 1768; "The greater Hippias", either 1759 or 1771, doubtfully attributed to Plato; "The lesser Hippias", 1761; "The banquet ... first part", 1761; "The banquet, ... second part", 1767; "A dissertation on the doctrine of Heraclitus", 1775; "The first Alcibiades", 1773 and "The second Alcibiades", 1776, these two not in fact by Plato; "Philebus, ... first part", 1779, and "Philebus, ... second part", 1780 (the last two have continuous pagination and register); "Meno", 1769; and "The rivals", 1769.
