Ms. donation inscription in ink at head of vol 1 title-page and first leaf of vol 2 (p. 961): "Ex dono Johannis Turner, rectoris de Stower Preux, & quondam socii regalis collegii in Cantabrigia.". John Turner, rector of Stour Provost, Dorset 1585-1621, was commensal at 3rd table and afterwards K.S. at Eton. See Sterry, Eton College Register, p. 339.

Græcol.".
