Contemporary French red rolled morocco; elaborate gold and blind tooled frames, including eagle and 'N' stamps; central eagle stamp; spine decorated with gold tooled stamps, including 'N', bees, laurel wreathes; green watered silk doublures, with bee stamps on square; possibly Imperial presentation copy.

Engraved t.p. and portraits lack any lettering, suggesting the prints are proofs. The latest is dated 1812; a sales entry from the Chalcographie du Louvre database suggests that the work was never fully published due to political disruption.
