Daniel Collins (c.1580-1648) was a King's Scholar at Eton 1590-1594, and a Fellow at Eton 1616-1648. His father, Baldwin Collins, was a Fellow at Eton 1582-1617. 16th century dark brown leather binding; blind tooled panels formed of double and single fillets; fleurs-de-lys at corners and arabesque centrepiece; holes for book ties; blind tooled single fillet decoration on spine; four raised bands; partly rebacked, with new endpapers and board corners reinforced; original medieval ms. binders' waste adhered to endpapers.
